Project Needs
We have listed projects in order of priority, taking into account the current needs of the youth in the orphanage and the long-range goal of having the facilities to start a small Soccer camp in the fall of 2026. The plan will be to start small to make sure the camp is feasible and grow as God provides.
All donations will be tax-deductible through Prairie Hills Community Church
Priority 1
Fully Functioning Bathroom - The orphanage has used pit latrines in the past, but they fill and have to be replaced every few years and more frequently as the number of kids continues to climb. A fully functioning bathroom with a septic system will be ideal for years. It is also a huge need for sanitary conditions, as showers and cleanliness are paramount to reducing sickness. It will also be a nice amenity for the future soccer camp. Currently, we are seeking an additional $7,000 in donations to be able to finish this project.
Priority 2
Extra Housing - There is a worship building that has been partially built for the kids. The plan is to finish this building and use it as a temporary dorm for the overflow of kids at the orphanage, and to house the campers that come for soccer training. The project will need about $10,000 to finish and temporarily modify the building.
Priority 3
Increase Size of the Soccer Pitch - In order to have a camp this fall, we will need to expand the soccer field to be able to have about 30-40 extra kids to train. The estimated cost for this expansion is about $5,000.
